What are the requirements needed to apply for permanent positions?

Diploma in ECE
Current Practising certificate (Teacher Registration)
Current First Aid certificate

I do not have teacher registration and/or a current first aid certificate. Can I still apply for a position?

Yes, you can still apply for a permanent position without teacher registration/and or a current first aid certificate, however any offer of employment will be subject to you holding both of these.

Where can I obtain Teacher Registration?

Can I teach without registration?

Yes, however you can only work for a total of 20 half days per year.

What are the pay scales for permanent and relieving positions?

Please refer to the Kindergarten Teachers’ Collective Agreement.

If I am unsuccessful, can I resubmit my application for positions in the future?

Yes, CV’s are held on file for three months enabling unsuccessful applicants to apply for subsequent positions without needing to resubmit. If you wish to reapply for a position within the three month timeframe, please contact us.
